Hellooooo!

Hey all!
Welcome to my very first blog that is the wierd and wacky me! : )
You have no idea what an achievement this is for me as i'm so computer illiterate i'm basically a caveman.
A big thanks to The Spoilt One/Mandy, who helped me out with 'codes' and stuff when I had NO idea what I was doing!

Okay, so I totally hate this part, as I never know what to say!
You need to have a lot of self confidence to be able to talk about yourself, and I have none... But i'll try : )

Well, i'll start off easy.
My name is Amy, i'm 25, i'm from Aus and i'm a Nurse by profession.
I am engaged to the sweetest and most supporting man on the planet and we've been together for six years.
(No kids as yet, but that's a long story in itself)

My pen name is Fates-Love-Queen. Don't ask me why, but I couldn't think of a name so i put a bunch of words in a hat and pulled out randoms to create a name : )
I'm basically a new born to fanfiction writing, but I have been a reader for about 6 months.
Why did I start writing?
Well, i'm working on an original fiction novel that I am currently 10 chapters in to, but have hit a major wall (also known as writer's block, that is quickly becoming a drought...)
I figured that any writing was better than no writing, so here I am.
I have currently written two one shots for contests, and am currently working on a multi-chapter contest piece and an original story.

As you can tell from my profile I LOVE Frangipani's!
They are my favourite flower.
And I also love Disney movies, my favourite obviously being the Disney version of "Robin Hood" but a close second would be "The Little Mermaid".
Still to this day my favourite movies.
I don't care how old you are, no one is too old for Disney flicks.
No matter what mood you are in I guarantee that you could find a Disney movie to match it.

I'm not like most people my age, and for that I get labelled as 'different'.
It took me a long time to realise that if you can't be yourself with someone, they really aren't worth your time.
I spent years trying to pretening to be someone I wasn't trying fit in with the 'norm' and not letting anyone see the real me...
And let me tell you, it's tiring, so I stopped.
One of my favourite quotes is; "I am not a can. I don't need a label!"
People either love me for who I am, wierd and wacky quirks and all or they don't.
Here's a little about me and why people call me 'wierd'...
I curse like a trooper, i'm absolutely shocking. Most of my stories are rated M for this reason.

I would rather stay home on a Saturday night reading, writing or watching a movie with my fiance' than go clubbing. Hundreds of sweaty and smelly, stumbling drunks, and music so loud that it hurts your bones is not my idea of a fun night out...
I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease when i was 17 after continually being mis-diagnosed year after year for as long as I can remember.
Thankfully, it's under control at the moment, for the first time since I was diagnosed 8 years ago , but it's the reason that even if I wanted to go out clubbing, I couldn't anyway.

I am completely obsessed with all things 'Twilight', and I loved Breaking Dawn! (ducks and hides fromt things being thrown)
But honestly, I did.
YES i was pissed off that after 3 fucking years of sexual tension between them, we got absolutely nothing on the wedding night! I mean, I wasn't expecting it to break out in to an erotic fiction porno, but come on, give us something!
YES i was pissed off with the ending.
I mean, they spend virtually the whole freaking book terrified about the fight with the Volturi, they call in friends from all corners of the globe to help, and the only one that dies if the stupid bitch Irina!
Come on Stephenie! I understand Bella's shield was powerful, but I wanted a punch on!
I wanted to see Jane try to fight without her gift and be taught alesson, I wanted to see Tanya at least get a few swings at Caius...
I wanted someone to die in battle!
A whole books lead up, and nothing...
BUT, having said that I still loved it.
I am 100% Team Edward, but having said that, I love Jake's as her best friend.
Yes, I know he made Bella cheat, and he didnt play fair, but neither did Edward...
Come on guys after three books of having his heart rippe out and stomped on and being considered the 'back-up' I was so happy that he got his HEA! I also loved how she handled the baby situation, I thought it was great.
(Although why Carlisle, the Doctor with centuries of experience couldn't figure out what Bella's half vampire baby needed was beyond me... lol.)

I am also completely obsessed with the 'Supernatural' and "The Vampire Diaries' TV shows.
I spend way too much time in front of my computer screen lost in fictional worlds.

My favourite type of movie genre are Musicals and Dance. You name it i probably have it...
The Sound of Music, Annie, The King and I, My Fair Lady, Grease and Grease 2, Xanadu, Centre Stage, Mamma Mia, Calamity Jane, Dirty Dancing etc.
While I do like some modern music, I personally prefer the older stuff.
Buddy Holly, Tammy Wynette, Patsy Cline, Connie Francis, Bryan Adams etc.
The new stuff i like is usually just guitar and vocals...
Jack Johnson, Pete Murray, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Taylor Swift etc.
But my favourite singer for the last few years has been Rob Pattinson (BEFORE Twilight).
I swear to god, that man's soulful, sexy voice renders me speechless and has the ability to turn my body in to a pile of goo... (It also doesn't hurt that he's painfully gorgeous either... lol)

Why is my blog called pic-a-nic_basket?
Well, for two reasons.

The first is that since we first met, my fiance has always called be "bu-bu" as in Yogi Bear's side kick (i don't think he has ever used my real name!) and that is one of his famous quotes.

Secondly, is that my head can sometimes be a bit like a basket...
Some days it's so full of ideas and stories that I have a hard time carrying it around, and other days it's completely empty...

Why am I on here?
To share my stories obviously but also to meet new people.
As i said, i'm painfully new to fanfiction and would love to havemore friends to 'talk shop' with.
